Anstadt Communications is a fifth-generation, family owned integrated marketing and graphics communications company located in York, PA. The company is currently in its 140th year of operation.
Though the business has a strong printing background, “we have taken a broader strategic business approach in the last few years, which has allowed us to offer new products and services beyond ink and paper, including – but not limited to – marketing and graphics, all with the goal of generating demand for our customers,” Matthew R. Doran, Anstadt Company president and CEO, said.
Anstadt’s customer base varies from locally-owned businesses to hospitals and healthcare systems and national corporations – and includes Armstrong World Industries, HBO, Weight Watchers and Johnson Controls.
“We work every day to build and grow a highly-sophisticated portfolio of companies that collectively bring forth value to the companies and industries we serve,” Doran said. “Innovative and creative solutions are at the heart of what we do every day at Anstadt.”
Doran credits his staff and presses for the company’s success.
“We have a highly talented and passionate team of marketing and graphic communications specialists, and combined with our world-class technology, we bring forward a vast array of marketing and print communications products and services aimed at generating demand for our customers,” he said. “The quality work our employees produce, in tandem with our amazing roster of clients, is really what sets us apart from the competition.”
Anstadt uses HP Indigo 12000 and 7900 digital presses coupled with Scodix Printing Enhancement Technology.
“This allows us to create high-end, eye-catching, multi-sensory pieces for our customers,” Doran said.
The company was the fifth one in North America to have the Scodix technology installed.
“[It] has been extremely valuable in creating engaging direct mail pieces,” the president and CEO said.
In March, Anstadt received an award from HP Inkspirations for its innovative and creative project for Ellicott and Company – a high-end boutique store in Lancaster, PA – which helped promote the latter’s unique holiday gifts in the craft cocktails scene.
The Third Annual HP Inkspiration Awards Americas is a contest that celebrates best-in-class print projects using HP digital technology, including HP Indigo Presses, HP PageWide Web Presses and HP Scitex Presses.
Anstadt was honored in the Custom Products category.
“Our customer wanted to create a special gift card set featuring classic cocktail recipes that they could sell in their store for the holiday season,” Doran said. “Using Anstadt’s portfolio of HP Indigo 12000 and 7900 digital presses, combined with Scodix Print Enhancement Technology,” Anstadt created a “high-end, eye-catching, multi-sensory piece.”
Additionally, Anstadt recently received four awards at the Graphic Arts Association’s Neographics Power of Print Competition, the largest and oldest regional – Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey – printing competition of its kind in the nation.
Anstadt earned a Best of Category award for its work with Lindenmeyr Munroe in creating the latter’s “Chorus Art Digital Creative Journey Kit.”
Add in two Frankin Awards of Excellence for work with the Warrell Corporation (catalogs) and the Wolf Organization (booklets).
“We stand behind our promise to focus on providing high quality, quick to market, extremely targeted products and services to help customers generate demand and increase response for their brands, products and services,” Doran said. “That means companies, regardless of size, can rely on us to deliver a great printed product, but also provide solutions to help them increase their market share, such as directing and executing direct marketing campaigns, to mailing fulfillment and distribution, and everything in between.”
