On March 1, 2015, Ted Burke will take over as president of EW Kaufmann after Brian O’Connor’s retirement on Feb 27. O’Connor has been at EW Kaufmann since 1995 and served as president since 2007.
Burke joined EW Kaufmann in March 2014 as VP of sales. Burke is a native of Philadelphia where he attended St. Joseph’s University. He came to Kaufmann with 39 years of experience in the Chemical Distribution industry. He served as president of Callahan from 1994 until September 2013. In addition to his experience at Callahan, Burke is a former Regional President of the National Association of Chemical Distributors, and a former member of its National Board. He also served for six years as a trustee on the Chemical Education Foundation.
Dan Gruber, president of KODA CASE, praises Burke’s successes and expertise by saying, “We are privileged to have Ted as president of EW Kaufmann. Ted brings great professionalism and experience to our leadership and he will surely continue to deliver positive growth to EW Kaufmann.”
Burke added, “I am very excited to take on this new role with EW Kaufmann and KODA. Since joining EW Kaufmann I have been thoroughly impressed with our excellent reputation for technical expertise and customer support to both suppliers and customers. With the help of our skilled and dedicated team, I look forward to continuing to build off of these core competencies to deliver more value to our partners and make EW Kaufmann even more successful.”
Effective March 1, 2015, Shaun Julian will become the VP of sales at EW Kaufmann, succeeding Burke.
Prior to being promoted to VP of sales, Shaun was responsible for the Central/Northern NJ, Metro through Albany, NY and Western CT regions since joining EW Kaufmann in 2010.
“It was a no-brainer,” Burke said. “Shaun has done an outstanding job over the past several years for our business. His superior product knowledge and technical expertise makes him a superstar in this business. Customers love him and suppliers appreciate the value he brings to our relationship. Shaun will be a great leader for the EW Kaufmann sales team.”
