Thwing-Albert Instrument Company announced the release of the Inkometer 1100. The Inkometer 1100 measures the apparent tack of printing inks under conditions that closely approximate the dynamic conditions of the ink-distribution system of a printing press during printing.
Featuring a new keypad and multi-line display the Inkometer 1100’s intuitive interface streamlines operation for exceptional ease of use. The Inkometer 1100 provides advanced features such as test method storage, statistical reporting and data exporting, providing the tools to the testing lab that increase productivity in the printing and ink development industries.
In addition to four pre-defined ASTM D-4361 based test methods, the Inkometer 1100 allows for storage of five user definable methods. Methods include specification for distribution roller speed, distribution time, testing roller speed, testing time and sampling rate. The Inkometer 1100 stores up to 180 tack readings per test.
