Southwest China is seeing a lot of growth in a diverse set of industries. The area, which includes Sichuan province and Chongqing, is an industrial hub, with electronics, textiles, equipment and wine being among the leading items.
Encres DUBUIT China’s inks are well established in Southwest China, and the company is looking to grow its presence in the region. Encres DUBUIT China is adding to its capabilities by adding a new office and product development laboratory in Sichuan (Yibin).
The new laboratory helps Encres DUBUIT China to support the development of solutions for clients and bring services closer to business partners and customers.
Caroline Bonnafoux, marketing manager for Encres DUBUIT, noted that Encres DUBUIT built its first production site in China in 2003. Bonnafoux added that Encres DUBUIT provides many kinds of inks and technology in key markets in China, including smart mobile, automotive, electronic, luxury, cosmetic, beverage, leisure and household products.
Bonnafoux noted that the beverage and consumer electronics markets are growing in the Southwest China area.
“With the Chinese public consumption upgrade trend, Encres DUBUIT put the new investment in China’s southwest region for beverage market development,” Bonnafoux said.
“The Southwest China market is matching the priority ink segments of the ED Group in China, for example, printing on glass wine bottles. This is a good potential market with the two main brands for white wine in China. As for consumer electronics, Sichuan is a huge base of manufacturing for computer, cellphones and laptops.”
Encres Dubuit will be able to be more efficient in terms of product support and customer on-site technical service.
“This will allow us to be reactive in terms of technical support for the Southwest China market,” Bonnafoux said. “The presence of the field service engineer in Sichuan will make us more reactive for our client and be more efficient in our response to technical issues. It will also allow us to be more reactive in term of color matching, since it was previously sent from Shanghai. Again, we will be more reactive and efficient in terms of timing, knowing that clients request color matching within few hours.”
