Robert P. Edmonston has joined EC Pigments USA, the U.S. manufacturing and marketing subsidiary of European Colour plc, as president. The role of president of EC Pigments USA is a new one and reflects a change in its approach to group management. As president, he is responsible for all aspects of the EC Pigments USA business.
“By making EC Pigments USA a freestanding group, we expect the team to develop the full potential of the business working with our customers in Canada and the U.S.,” said Steve Smith, EC Pigments’ chairman. “Bob will also be part of the team guiding European Colour toward its future.”
Mr. Edmonston has held positions in R&D, marketing management and new business development at the Dewy and Almy and Polyfibron divisions of WR Grace & Co.; marketing management, product business management and group general management at Morton International, where he rose to corporate group vice president and president, chemical specialties. When Rohm and Hass acquired Morton International, he was appointed corporate vice president and business unit manager, performance chemicals. Since 2000, Mr. Edmonston has been president and COO of Sage Partners LLC, a group of experienced senior executives providing leadership and strategic assistance to emerging companies.
