HarperScientific announced that industry veteran Tony Donato has accepted the position of technical sales manager.
“We are delighted to have a person of Tony’s caliber join our team,” said Jim Harper, HarperScientific’s vice president. “He is extremely well qualified to help converters determine the pressroom solutions supplies that will most improve their productivity and print quality.”
Mr. Donato has extensive hands-on experience in flexography and gravure, including anilox roll, gravure roll and doctor blade applications. His expertise is in trouble-shooting an array of printing problems in both flexographic and gravure printing processes.
He is a member of the Phoenix Challenge Foundation board of directors, and he volunteers annually as pressroom judge for the International Phoenix Challenge Flexo Skills Competition, which takes place at the Harper Campus of Central Piedmont Community College. He has presented at various FTA forums and GAA functions, in addition to writing several published technical articles in international publications. Mr. Donato received his MBA from Winthrop University and has taught classes at York Technical College as well as several other educational institutes around the U.S. and Canada.
