The Web Offset Association (WOA), a special interest group of Printing Industries of America (PIA) and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF), has appointed Mary Garnett, an association executive with more than 10 years of printing industry experience, as its new executive director.
“She brings a wealth of experience and talent to the position,” said Michael Keene, president of the John Roberts Company and the current president of the board of WOA.
“She has strong financial management skills, communications expertise and has a keen sense of the challenges facing the printing industry,” added Michael Makin, CEO of GATF/PIA.
In addition to assuming the duties of WOA Executive Director, Ms. Garnett will also become GATF/PIA’s senior staff member responsible for special interest groups and sections. Ms. Garnett currently serves as a PIA vice president. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business education and a masters of science degree in counseling.
Laurie Reynolds, who has served as acting executive director, will remain with the organization as assistant executive director, and with Ms. Garnett will form the WOA staff management team.
