Mamoru Sasajima was appointed as Toyo Ink International Corporation’s new president effective Oct. 1, 2009. Headquartered in New York, Toyo Ink International is a member of the Toyo Ink Group headed by Toyo Ink Mfg. Co., Ltd. of Japan. It serves as a holding company for the Toyo Ink Group’s operations in the Americas.
Mr. Sasajima has been with the Toyo Ink Mfg. Co. since 1983, most recently serving as general manager of the Americas Business Division, International Business Headquarters from 2008. Throughout his career, he has held diverse assignments that involved international business planning and management. From 1997 to 2001, he served as general manager of Toyo Ink Pan Pacific Pte. Ltd.’s regional office in Singapore. He was then transferred to Malaysia to take on the role as president of Toyochem Corporation Bhd. from 2001 to 2005.
Mr. Sasajima succeeds Fusao Ito, who has returned to Japan to take over the helm as division director of Toyo Ink Mfg. Company’s International Operations Headquarters.
