Sartomer Company has added Akzo Nobel’s complete line of monomers and oligomers to its product offering, further expanding Sartomer’s presence in functional additives for UV-cure applications.
According to a Sept. 28 agreement, Sartomer’s sister company Cray Valley has acquired Akzo Nobel’s entire Photocure resins business, including manufacturing facilities in Eccles, Great Britain and New Brunswick, NJ.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cray Valley will market the Akzo Nobel products to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while Sartomer will market the products to Asia and the Americas.
Sartomer’s existing photocure product line includes a wide variety of monomers, oligomers, photoinitiators, and specialty resins for UV-cure coatings, inks, adhesives and other high-performance products.
