Jetrion LLC, a leading provider of advanced products, services and specialized solutions for industrial ink jet applications and a separate business unit of Flint Ink, announced a strategic partnership agreement with Crown Holdings, Inc., a global leader in metal packaging of food and beverage, aerosol and specialty packaging, to develop technology specific to digital printing for metal packaging.
Jetrion and Crown have partnered to solve a long-standing technology barrier relating to digital printing on metal packaging materials prior to forming. The two companies have overcome early challenges in moving toward creation of new technologies that will enable development of the world’s fastest ink jet color printer for volume production of high-quality metal containers. Jetrion and Crown are developing this technology to help brand owners address rapidly-changing consumer preferences.
“Development of a digital printing process that can withstand the harsh requirements of metal forming can only be accomplished with this kind of strategic partnership,” said Dr. Kenneth Stack, president of Jetrion LLC. “We are excited to have Crown challenging us to drive these technology advancements in digital printing and look forward to bringing them to the marketplace.”
Jetrion LLC also introduced two new user-friendly advanced systems for high-performance ink jet production. The Jetrion 2300 Inkjet System and the Jetrion Bindery Manager incorporate Jetrion’s technologies, representing a fusion of ink, hardware and solutions that meet the requirements of printers, converters, packagers and direct mailers for more efficient ink jet production and higher quality results.
The ultra-high resolution Jetrion 2300 for both large and small character ink jet printing was developed specifically for quality-driven, high-value applications such as outer case coding, product marking and labeling. The Jetrion Bindery Manager is an advanced monitoring and management tool for bindery printers that links data networking technology with industrial ink jet printer technology.
