SICPA is investing in the growing market for printing ink in Russia. The company’s St. Petersburg Colour Center produced its first packaging inks at the beginning of May. The new business location is close to the center of St. Petersburg. The premises house sales, warehouse and financial administration as well as production and a laboratory.
SICPA has had its own distributor in St Petersburg since 1999. Cooperation with the distributor Radius now continues at the Colour Center.
The St. Petersburg Colour Center is an investment not only in Russia, a very important market area for SICPA, but also in an extremely important customer sector: the tobacco industry. The world’s leading manufacturers of tobacco packaging are customers of the new Colour Center.
Thanks to the St Petersburg Colour Center, SICPA can provide its services close to the customer. Delivery times will speed up considerably as service relating to the inks can now be guaranteed within Russia.
Brand awareness in Russia’s food and tobacco industries is growing all the time. The Radius team at the St. Petersburg Colour Centre, trained by SICPA during the four years of partnership, is responding to this challenge. The team is led by Mikhail Dobriagin. Alexander Androsenko is technical manager, Victor Tikhomirov is responsible for logistics and Alexander Proshkin for production.
In addition to the tobacco industry, the St. Petersburg Colour Center will also focus on the flexible packaging industry.
