The Sartomer Company (www.sartomer.com) announced that its Stratford, CT plant has achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration. The Stratford plant is Sartomer’s fifth facility to become ISO registered, and the second to meet the newer ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Other ISO-registered facilities include the company’s Exton, PA headquarters; West Chester, PA manufacturing and administrative facilities; as well as manufacturing plants in Houston, TX, Chatham, VA, and Grand Junction, CO.
“We were able to successfully implement the ISO program in just 12 months, which I think speaks volumes about the level of commitment and involvement within the company,” said John Piechule, Sartomer’s ISO coordinator/quality engineer. “Although we had specific teams leading the ISO charge, everyone at the site participated in the registration process. We couldn’t have done it any other way.”
