US Ink, a division of Sun Chemical Corporation, has named Gregory M. Lawson executive vice president, charged with overall direction of international operations including strategic planning, sales and marketing, as well as information technology. Mr. Lawson, whose appointment became effective July 1, 2002, reports directly to president Ronald C. Baker.
Mr. Lawson brings to US Ink more than 21 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, which includes launching and managing a number of overseas operations, engineering the smooth integration of corporate acquisitions and invigorating sales and profitability at several ink operating units. His career has spanned several leadership positions, including president of Flint Ink Corporation’s North American division. Most recently, Mr. Lawson served with Openshaw International, a British graphic arts supply company for whom he built a profitable pressroom supply business in North America.
