Dr. Ansgar Nonn has been appointed to the board of directors of Siegwerk Druckfarben AG, taking over the management of the print media business unit which chairman of the board Herbert Forker had co-managed previously.
“With Dr. Nonn, the board of directors has been expanded by an excellent expert who is outstandingly qualified, not least owing to his business know-how as a trained chemist, to strengthen our position further as an innovation and technology leader in printing inks for the print media unit,” said Mr. Forker.
Dr. Nonn was a partner in McKinsey & Company, a Cologne, Germany-based business consulting firm, and was mainly in charge of projects in industrial chemical companies.
He has a degree in chemistry from the University of Cologne. He continued his education with an additional course of study in business administration at the Open University of Hagen, and obtained his doctorate in chemistry in a course of study in Cologne.
After a research stay at the University of California in Berkeley, Dr. Nonn began his professional career as laboratory director at Bayer AG in 1992. During the following four years, he worked in various functions in the diagnostics business unit, in the end as the manager of the market launch of a new diagnostics test series.
In 1996, Dr. Nonn joined as an associate with McKinsey. He was chosen as a partner there in 2002.
