Sensient Technologies Corporation, Milwaukee, WI, announced it has acquired ECS Specialty Inks and Dyes, a producer and marketer of inks for specialty printing applications. The business is located in Morges, Switzerland and reported revenues of approximately $12 million last year. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
The acquisition of ECS along with the acquisition of Germany-based SynTec earlier this year will provide a strategic base for building Sensient’s rapidly growing inks and dyes business in Europe. This business includes ink for ink jet printing as well as many other specialty dye and ink products for laser printing.
