Jeffrey Koppelman, president of Gans Ink & Supply Company, was elected the 44th president of the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM) during its 89th Annual Convention at the Registry Resort & Spa in Naples, FL. Also elected at the meeting were David Frescoln of Flint Ink, vice president, and Michael Gettis, of Colorcon, treasurer.
Mr. Koppelman is a respected leader in the printing ink industry and has served as a director of NAPIM since 1996. In acknowledging his election, Mr. Koppelman noted, “I consider it a great honor to be elected to this position and will do my best to serve the association and its members. The strength of our industry resides within this organization, and it is my goal over the next two years to fortify it further through the growth of its membership.”
Gans Ink & Supply Company operates 12 facilities providing sheetfed inks for conventional and specialty applications. The company was founded in 1950 by Bob Gans. Mr. Koppelman has been with Gans Ink for 23 years.
Founded in 1914, NAPIM is the only U.S. national association representing printing ink manufacturers. Its service to its members covers a complete range of industry activities from public relations and government relations to technical programs and technical support in areas of general concern to the printing ink industry. NAPIM’s 57 members produce nearly 70 percent of the $4.1 billion of printing ink sold in the U.S.A. annually.
