Central Chemical & Service, Addison, IL, (www.centchem.com) has introduced a new approach to coloring UV inks with its line of Durasilk and RadFlex dye dispersions. With a wide variety of colors available, these monomer-free dispersions use the highest quality dye and oligomers available in the market.
Each dispersion contains a minimum 10 percent dye solids and are dispersed into a single oligomer. Dispersions are available in polyester acrylate, epoxy or urethane oligomer systems. These dispersions allow flexibility for UV ink formulators.
For those companies that don’t have UV formulators, Central Chemical & Service offers initiated letdowns that complement the dispersions. These two products can be combined to make a UV ink that has excellent flow properties, cure response and adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
