Flint Ink has announced the appointment of Damian Johnson as president of Flint Ink Asia/Pacific. Mr. Johnson assumes responsibility for overseeing Flint Ink operations in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim.
Prior to accepting his new role, Mr. Johnson served as general manager of Flint Ink Australia, a position he held since joining the company in January 2000.
“Damian has extensive knowledge of the Asia/Pacific region’s printing and packaging market and has been an outstanding leader since coming to Flint Ink,” said Dave Frescoln, president and COO of Flint Ink. “His expertise will enable Flint Ink to strengthen its position in this important, burgeoning market, better serve the region’s new and existing customers and fortify our global reach.”
Before joining Flint Ink, Mr. Johnson carved out a successful career in printing and packaging with tenure at Carter Holt Harvey Cartons, Rexam Flexible Packaging, Van Leer, and Smorgon Industries. In 1995, he served as the N.S.W. chairman of the Plastics Sector Council, Plastics & Chemicals Industries Association.
In an additional matter, Flint Ink Asia/Pacific headquarters also have recently relocated, from Sydney to Melbourne, Australia.
