Since 1954, Encres Dubuit has been a leader in the French printing ink industry, building up its own expertise in screen printing inks. Over the years, the company has made significant breakthroughs, launching the first screen printing inks for containers and other 2D and 3D objects in 1954 and introducing UV screen inks in 1976. The company has also branched out into digital inks.
Encres Dubuit has introduced its inks worldwide, setting up subsidiaries in Spain, Belgium, China and the US. Headquartered in Roselle, IL, Dubuit America is celebrating 40 years of successfully serving its customers throughout the US, adding its own manufacturing operations, and looks ahead to the future.
“Dubuit America as a standalone facility has grown so as to be able to manufacture inks locally and has staffed its operation with technical and technical support with the goal of being the best in providing service to its customers,” said Olivier Cocagne, group marketing manager for Encres Dubuit. “A new marketing initiative is being launched in 2017, which will start with a new web site.”
On the digital side, Dubuit America offers a series of UV inks, the EvoJet range, which are ideal for graphics and decoration of containers. The company also prides itself on its Nova and Evograf UV and Monoplak solvent-based screen inks, which are ideal for graphics, containers and industrial applications, as well as special effect inks such as metallics and fluorescents and UV varnishes. A pair of solvent-based pad printing inks - D-Pad and 8500 - round out the company’s ink lines.
Aside from its ink lines, Dubuit America also provides equipment for its customers, most recently adding the 9150 Digital printer for cylindrical objects. The company also offers a wide range of screenprinters, as well as the 972 Digital HD press, which can print 4,000 items per hour, and the 9964 Digital, a screen and digital convertible press.
Managed by president Chrystelle Ferrari, Encres Dubuit specializes in conventional, UV and UV/LED digital and screen inks. Cocagne said that the orientation of the company has now moved in a new direction with the recent hire of Pierre Blaix, global sales director and head of strategy and business development.
“Not only is Encres Dubuit further developing its existing lines, but it is developing a brand new strategy to be the leader in providing inks to industrial graphics,” Cocagne said. “These industrial graphic inks are in addition to the ones in graphic, container decoration, label or direct screen, conventional, UV or UV LED, screen or digital.
“These inks being introduced are a complement to the inks already being used by the cell phone and tablet manufacturers and have the most advanced technology, with the highest in quality being ISO certified,” Cocagne added. “Encres Dubuit is investing a lot in equipment and people to achieve its goal, with several new hires to develop the new lines of Dubuit inks and support them at the printer. Our outlook for 2017 will be in industrial graphics, such as electronic printing, automotive, aerospace and medical devices. What will make the difference will be not only the inks but also the most important, namely the people.”
