NUtec Digital Ink reports a growing range of products with environmental certifications, as it focuses on sustainability-driven innovation.
The company recently attained GREENGUARD GOLD status for its Amethyst A50-RIG range of UV-curable inks, adding to its growing list of accredited inks and further demonstrating the company’s commitment to finding production inputs that are safer for the environment.
GREENGUARD certified products need to meet some of the world’s most demanding chemical emissions standards for interior use. The GREENGUARD GOLD certification standard is the highest level achievable and ensures that products are acceptable for use in sensitive environments such as hospitals and schools.
“PSPs searching for safer input alternatives need look no further as NUtec Digital Ink’s GREENGUARD GOLD environmental credentials ensure peace of mind when choosing sustainable printing inks,” said Darren Claassens, head of sales and marketing at NUtec Digital Ink.
Designed for rigid substrates, the Amethyst A50-RIG UV-curable inks offer excellent media adhesion and are suitable for use without primer, on a large variety of materials, including among others, polycarbonate, melamine, glass, wood, acrylic and ceramics.
The newly certified range is offered in various packaging configurations and was developed for both conventional and LED UV lamp curing.
The formulation is designed for compatibility across a broad range of printhead types from Fujifilm, Konica Minolta, Xaar, ToshibaTec, Ricoh and Seiko. Available in CMYK, lights, white and varnish options, the Amethyst A50-RIG range features a superior color gamut for bright, vivid images.
