With a wide range of ink solutions for packaging, POP and other applications, INX International will showcase new and established products at the PRINTING United Expo.
Renee Schouten, VP of marketing, says brand owners and printers can expect to see a gamut of choices in the INX booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Oct. 19-21.
“We introduced several new inks this year that speak directly to issues concerning the industry. The solutions we will have in our booth answer the call for better quality, improved results and greater savings,” she said. “One thing I am very impressed by is how our customers are succeeding with the Triangle HIP and HSI premium UV Curable alternative inks. They are experiencing outstanding performance and other outcomes that are helping their businesses.”
Both alternative inks meet GRACoL standards and G7 targets and offer many advantages. Triangle HIP inks are optimized for faster curing with UV lamps at a lower cost, and jet at a high consistency on HP Scitex industrial printers: the 9000, 10000, 11000, 15000 and 15500 series.
Triangle HSI inks run on high-speed inkjet printers like the Inca Onset X1 flatbed for high volume packaging and POP jobs. It cures fast with UV mercury or LED lamps, and can be used for indoor or outdoor settings since it is UV and water resistant without coating or lamination.
HSI is available in six colors, plus White and special-order Orange, and is supported by INX’s UV Ink Train warranty program
Since INX introduced the VerifyInk security inks in June, Schouten said brand owners have expressed interest as they look for ways to provide brand protection for their products. The most recent additions to the security inks portfolio include drop-on-demand (DOD) and continuous inkjet (CIJ) solutions.
“We are excited to provide a solution to the packaging market that combines high security and customer engagement. For brand owners, these are two important drivers since counterfeit products cost the U.S. economy billions annually,” added Schouten, who said free samples will be available in the booth. “
The new INXShield UV Flexo and GS Slip coatings also help brand owners in other ways. The first functional coatings for packaging applications to be formulated with BioCote antimicrobial technology, they are designed for application over dry water-based and cured UV inks (UV Flexo) and shrinkable film labels (GS Slip). BioCote protects the coating by inhibiting odor, staining and material degradation, and microbes on the surface.
“Our UV Flexo coating provides a uniform layer with excellent gloss, slip and general resistance properties. With GS Slip, the overprint varnish makes it an ideal solution for shrinkable printing with OPS, PETG and PVC,” said Schouten. “For brand owners in need of an environmentally friendly ink to be in line with their sustainability goals, INXhrc natural-based inks and Genesis™ washable inks will get the job done for them.”
A high-performance bio-renewable ink for flexographic, offset and gravure purposes, INXhrc reduces the carbon footprint of packaging materials and contributes to a circular economy. Genesis washable inks make it easier to recycle plastic films, therefore contributing to the circular reuse of materials.
