Dean Roeing passed away at his home on Dec. 3 2021. He was 89 years old.
Roeing was born in Chicago. After serving in the Army, he joined the ink industry. He was perhaps best known for his service with the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club (CPIPC); he was the president of the club in 1989. He was also the long-time education chair and an active member of CPIPC’s board for decades.
“Dean was our long time Education Chair for the CPIPC and an active member of the Board for decades,” said CPIPC president Russell Heinzinger. “His easy going nature and great sense of humor will be remembered most.”
“Dean’s class was my introduction to the ink industry,” added John Jilek Jr. of inksolutions.
“Dean was a great guy,” said Tom Gwizdalski, MaxSol business manager for Resolute Oil.
“He was a great guy and ambassador for our industry,” said John Copeland, NAPIM executive director.
He was predeceased by his wife, the late Patricia E. Roeing (nee Mroz); brother of the late Richard, the late Bob and Dale (Doris) Roeing; and uncle of 25.
