The Chemours Company announced that Jonathan Lock has been appointed to lead the company's sustainability efforts and will become a Section 16 officer effective Nov. 8, 2021.
As SVP and chief development officer, Lock will continue to lead Chemours' M&A, corporate strategy, and investor relations functions, while also assuming responsibility for sustainability. Sheryl Telford, Chemours' chief sustainability officer, will report directly to Lock.

This places sustainabil-ity at the center of our growth strategy and reinforces our Corporate Responsibility Com-mitment efforts across Chemours," said Mark Newman, Chemours president and CEO.
Lock joined Chemours in May 2018 as VP, corporate development and investor relations. Prior to joining Chemours, Lock held positions in corporate strategy and investor relations in the energy and materials sector, as well as strategic business transformation and con-sultancy roles supporting Fortune 500 companies. He was named to the Chemours Execu-tive Team effective July 1, 2021.
