The Chemours Company was recently recognized as a Champion of Board Diversity by The Forum of Executive Women, the Greater Philadelphia Region’s premier women’s organization.
The Forum of Executive Women annually honors the top public companies in the Philadelphia region with 30% or more women on their respective boards. This is the second time that Chemours has been honored as a Champion of Board Diversity.
“Chemours is focused on making a difference and shaping the world through the power of our chemistry,” said Mark Newman, president and CEO at Chemours. “For us, inclusion and diversity are not initiatives, they’re woven into the fabric of who we are. We’re honored to be recognized as a Champion of Board Diversity for the work we’ve done to ensure that our leaders represent the world that we serve and seek to improve. We will continue to champion diversity in our Boardroom, company, and across our industry.”
Chemours has also made progress on gender equity among its senior executive leadership team. In the past year, Chemours has increased female representation to 44% following the appointments of Alvenia Scarborough to SVP, corporate communications and chief brand officer, Alisha Bellezza to president, Thermal & Specialized Solutions, and Denise Dignam to president, Advanced Performance Materials.
