With an eye on major workplace topics, the International Metal Decorating and Packaging Association (IMDPA) will host first of three consecutive monthly webinars beginning this Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
John Phillips, senior associate of labor and employment at Seyfarth Shaw LLC in Houston, will be the presenter for Vaccines in the Workplace: To Mandate or Not? beginning at 1 p.m. EST.
As the COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues, it has brought renewed optimism and hope, along with a host of questions and compliance issues with employers. In this webinar, Phillips will explore legal issues relating to the vaccine in the workplace. It will cover such topics as proof of vaccinations, disabilities and religion issues, risk mitigation protocols and accommodations, including paid leave laws.
“Video conferencing and virtual events have never been more important to business as it is now, especially for associations like us who need to keep members engaged,” said Renee Schouten, president of IMDPA.
“They are useful for keeping members in the loop about industry updates and trends, association updates, current events and much more. They give us the ability to virtually connect with members and build upon existing relationships or create new ones. Our newly formed webinar committee has been hard at work setting up this program, and I’m looking forward to what John Phillips has to say on Wednesday.”
