Huhtamaki launched a consolidated range of more than 100 products for food and drink on the go, specifically designed to serve the needs of home delivery and takeaway foodservice operators in the UK.
The products are presented in one catalog, where, according to Huhtamaki, they can be easily sourced based on the types of food they can be used for, their functionality e.g. for the oven or freezer, and for the delivery or service channel they use (hot-hold, delivery or on-the-go).
The catalog provides ‘at a glance’ iconography to inform buyers of the product credentials, functionality, materials and plastic content along with guidance on responsible disposal, enabling easy and direct comparison of products within the range and with those from other manufacturers, according to Huhtamaki.
The range features brand new fiber-based products manufactured in folding carton and fluted packaging as well as several existing products from Huhtamaki’s "Taste" range, which, according to the company, have been updated to improve performance, leak resistance and stronger sustainability benefits.
Aligned with the company's 2030 Sustainability strategy, Huhtamaki said it reduced the plastic content by 33% against previous versions.

"All the products in this range have been carefully chosen to present a variety of serving solutions. There is a strong focus on fiber-based packaging within the range, sourced from sustainably managed forests. Plastic has been reduced or removed wherever possible."
