Epple Druckfarben AG, Neusäß appointed Stefan Schülling to the Executive Board as of Jan. 3, 2020.
Schülling will be responsible for the division's sales and finance in his function as a member of the board.
The Executive Board of Epple Druckfarben AG will thus consist of three members: Schülling; Gunther Gerlach, chairman of the Executive Board and responsible for production, purchasing and HR; and Dr. Carl Epple, responsible for development and innovation.
"First of all, I would like to thank the Supervisory Board and the owner families for their trust," Schülling said. "The market of the graphic arts industry is changing and therefore highly competitive. Nevertheless, I am convinced that as a medium-sized and flexible company we have numerous opportunities to continue to operate successfully in the market. In addition to the expansion of internationalization, my activities in the coming months will focus on sales in the German-speaking market, which is very important for us.”
The 43-year-old business economist has been working for Epple Druckfarben AG since 2011 and, as head of business development, has been jointly responsible for the business strategy and the internationalization of the company in the recent years.
Thus, Schülling founded Encres Epple France SAS as well as Epple Druckfarben Italia S.r.l. and has been working there as managing director since 2017. At PCO Europe B.V., he has also been the sole managing director since Epple took over shares in 2018.
"For Epple Druckfarben AG, it was important in perspective to add another member to the Executive Board. This will enable us to fully meet the challenges of the market environment," said Michael Berz, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Epple Druckfarben AG. "We are very happy to have filled this strategically important position with our long-standing employee Stefan Schülling."
