Ingevity recently awarded $2,000 college scholarships to 30 high school seniors in Covington, VA; Crossett, AR; DeRidder, LA; North Charleston, SC; Waynesboro, GA; and Wickliffe, KY. Scholarships were awarded to students who demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities and a commitment to making a positive impact in their school and community.
Of the scholarships awarded, 25 were awarded to students entering four-year colleges or universities with a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) related field of study. Two scholarships were awarded to students entering technical colleges with a STEM-related field of study. Three scholarships were awarded for non-STEM related fields of study.
“Education, along with human health and environmental protection, is a key focus of our charitable giving and community involvement that supports our mission to purify, protect and enhance the world around us,” said Michael Wilson, president and CEO. “We are honored to help further the education of these bright and talented students. In addition to academic excellence, each awardee demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills.”

Scholarship recipients (except those in North Charleston) were recognized during award ceremonies at their schools. Recipients in North Charleston were invited to the headquarters building for lunch with Wilson followed by lab tours.
