Sawgrass will be presenting new solutions for contemporary and long-lasting sublimation imprinting at FESPA Global Print Expo 2019, May 14-17, Messe Munich, Germany.
Sawgrass offers totally integrated systems, designed and developed purely for sublimation. Each system comprises a printer, a set of inks, a design platform and color management software plus support and education.
Each system has been designed specifically to work together to produce the best possible prints. It includes:
Sublimating on cotton has long been the desire of product decorators worldwide. As the sublimation process only works with polymers, fabric decoration has been limited to synthetic fibers, and sublimating on cotton, the most popular and natural fabric in the world, has remained out of reach.
At FESPA 2019, Sawgrass will showcase how partnerships with Chemica, Forever, Poli-Tape and Siser are breaking barriers and giving product decorators new solutions and more options for making money with sublimation.
Sublimation inks are semi-transparent, which means that the color of the substrates they imprint upon will affect the final colors seen after pressing. Dark-colored fabrics, especially blacks, have long been excluded for use with sublimation for this reason.
This is no longer the case, with Poli-Tape’s SubliTwill and SubliFlock media, Chemica’s SubliTex media, all of which are now working with Sawgrass’ Virtuoso HD Product Decorating Systems and Virtuoso Print Manager software.
At FESPA, Sawgrass will also demonstrate in real-time just how simply personalized ChromaLuxe and Unisub products can be created and brought to market when it partners with Universal Woods EMEA.
Live personalization demonstrations will show the quick and easy production of customized coasters, bookmarks, keychains, magnets and ornaments on blanks provided by Unisub. Visitors will experience the effect of creating personalized products and how they can harness this in their own business operations.
“This real-life application area will allow visitors to experience just what they can achieve,” said Darcy Mauro, president of Sawgrass. “They will be able to watch the creation process in action, witnessing just how easily and quickly personalized items can be produced.”
Sawgrass offers totally integrated systems, designed and developed purely for sublimation. Each system comprises a printer, a set of inks, a design platform and color management software plus support and education.
Each system has been designed specifically to work together to produce the best possible prints. It includes:
- The only desktop printers on the market engineered to work with sublimation ink. With three sizes of printers available – SG400 (A4), SG800 (A3+) and VJ 628 (25”/630 mm);
- Four formulations of SubliJet-HD inks – CMYK for the A4 and A3 desktop printers and three separate eight-color options for the VJ 628. These high viscosity ink sets deliver the largest gamuts of color for sublimation printing on the market, as well as deep, rich colors, neutral blacks, fine gradients and delicate skin tones;
- Virtuoso Print Manager color management software, with RIP-like production capabilities and ease-of-use - this software provides preset print settings and manages color based on the specific characteristics of the printer, the inks and the media;
- CreativeStudio Online Designer, which offers a continually updated intuitive library of designs, product templates direct from the manufacturers – saving thousands in software and artwork purchases;
- Ongoing support and sales/marketing education through Sawgrass’ PartnerPlus and BusinessBuilder programs.
