The commercial printer added an HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press to its Des Moines, Iowa headquarters to complement its digital production on the HP Indigo 7800.
“Most four-color digital printing is based on a 19-inch sheet," said Billy Benskin, TPI VP of manufacturing. "Our new HP Indigo 10R and 12000 series presses can print a 29x 20-inch image area. That will not only allow us to get more shells up on a sheet to produce direct mail faster to meet customer deadlines but also allows for us to offer products in sizes other machines can’t including 9 x 24-inch format mailers. That combined with our ability to print with up to 7 colors separates this press from others.”
TPI has evolved into a direct marketing vendor for the gaming industry. TPI’s direct marketing solutions enable casino operators to deliver variable offers to their players via direct mail, online platforms, and the My Offers App.
The two new 29-inch HP Indigo presses will enable The Printer Inc. to expand its digital print applications using new substrates, including 14 pt stock and plastics, as well as new ink effects with white, fluorescent, and many others.
