Greater Georgia Printers selected the HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press to drive its digital printing operations.
The HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press installation was completed this month at the Crawford, GA production site.
“Greater Georgia Printers was looking for a digital solution to take the business to the next level, so we would not need to have a conversation with our customers about the difference between our digital and offset quality,” said Kevin Miller, plant manager. “With the HP Indigo press, we can offer our customers an identical print experience, while offering better environmental sustainability.”
The HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press is manufactured carbon neutral, offers reduced production waste, and energy efficiency with an on-press recycling system.
The new HP Indigo 7900 at Greater Georgia Printers is equipped with premium capabilities, including special effects printing with raised and textured print, HP Indigo One Shot printing on synthetic substrates, and seven ink stations to support a 97% Pantone gamut and special spot colors such as white and florescent Inks.
Founded in 1969 by five newspaper publishers in Crawford, GA, the company started with newspaper printing before expanding to a full-service commercial printing house.
