Inkcups will present 10 promotional product printing systems, including live demonstrations on digital and pad printers, at the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo. The event will be held Jan. 15-17, 2019, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The Inkcups booth will feature live demonstrations on the HELIX, X360, XJET800 and X5 digital printers. The HELIX is a 360-degree digital inkjet printer for straight-walled and tapered cylinders that prints full CMYKWW+V on cylindrical items such as sports bottles, mixing glasses, barware, candles, stainless steel tumblers and more. The X360 has the same capabilities and specializes in continuously printing whites over dark-colored cylinders. Inkcups will demonstrate how the HELIX and X360 consistently reproduce high-quality, durable text and images onto plastic cups.
The XJET800 is an automation-ready industrial UV conveyorized digital printer. This machine will demonstrate its print quality using printhead technology on highlighting markers. The X5 is a UV flatbed digital machine with five printheads for on-demand, full-color prints on flat and hard goods up to six inches tall. The X5 can decorate a bed size of 43 by 24 inches in two minutes using full quality CMYKWW and optional varnish; at PPAI it will demonstrate high-quality printing on shot glasses.
The booth will also display the company’s B100, ICN-150 and ICN2200L pad printers. The B100 is a high-speed, single-color tabletop flatbed pad printer that will be set up to print live on both cotton shirts and promotional items to show flexibility in printing. The large-part 1- and 2-color ICN-150 will demonstrate its unique accuracy by live printing graphics on bottle openers. The ICN2200L is equipped with a linear conveyor belt with an automatic loading and unloading system.
Inkcups will also debut its new MagiCoat, a breakthrough water-based inkjet ink primer that optimizes adhesion on glassware, as well as offer samples of new SI-HD pad printing ink for silicone parts.
