Crown Aerosols & Promotional Packaging Europe, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc., will showcase solutions that help brands differentiate themselves on the shelf, foster greater consumer engagement, and harness the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) at the Aerosol & Dispensing Forum and Packaging of Perfumes Cosmetics & Design 2019 (ADF & PCD), Jan. 30-31 in Paris, France.
In its quest to offer brands out-of-the-box, eye-catching packaging solutions, Crown has been working on developing new printing decorations and finishes. The company’s additions to its existing range of seven decorative finishes include striking designs featuring Fine Sparkle finish, which features sparkling elements that make plain finishes twinkle in the light. Samples at the stand include a new and improved Pearlescent finish, a shimmering varnish that is ideal for applications from aerosols to spirits packaging and brings depth and sophistication to creative packaging designs. Crown will also showcase designs featuring Glitter and Glow in the Dark selective varnishes.
Following the launch of its CrownConnect technology earlier this year, the company is looking to adapt it to other industries and applications. The solution, based on IoT and developed in partnership with EVRYTHNG, a GS1 solution provider, allows consumers to scan unique 2D codes on cans and learn about the product and its journey to the retail shelf. The codes can also be used to engage consumers in promotional activities, including online games and competitions, providing valuable purchasing data that can help marketers shape future marketing activities.
“The show is a great opportunity for us to share our latest innovations and demonstrate how metal packaging can help brands stand out on the shelf and appeal to consumers not only for the aerosols market but also for other limited edition or luxury premium products,” said Veronique Curulla, marketing director at Crown Aerosols & Promotional Packaging Europe.
