Allen Press, Inc. promoted Maria Preston-Cargill to EVP.
In addition to her current responsibilities leading corporate sales and marketing, Preston-Cargill will oversee Allen Press’ scholarly publishing services division.
“She will lead our efforts to transform our scholarly publishing services and create products that are efficient, technologically advanced and sustainable for the independent scholarly publisher," Allen Press CEO Randy Radosevich said.
Allen Press provides manuscript submission and peer review management, editorial services, composition, online publishing, journal licensing, subscription management and full-service publishing management. Additionally, Allen Press offers multi-channel advertising sales representation and marketing agency services including strategic planning, marketing research, digital marketing and graphic design.
“Our top priority in 2019 is creating change, both as a business and also within the industries and communities that we serve,” said Preston-Cargill. “Our VP of scholarly publishing services, Mark Kohlhase, and I are excited to initiate change and ensure our scholarly publishing services give our clients the most technically advanced and effective tools in the marketplace.”
Preston-Cargill joined Allen Press in 2011 as a publisher and has since served as director of publishing, VP of marketing and SVP of sales and marketing.
