American Thermal Instruments LLC completed its acquisition of Microtemp Labs LLC of Naples, FL.
Microtemp’s technology will provide ATI with the scalable means to print customized liquid crystal units in-house and in one pass.
Liquid crystal technology is a key component of virtually all precision temperature-reading devices worldwide.
The ATI product line will expand to include Microtemp’s FDA-approved forehead temperature monitoring devices wherein the “temperature line” moves in real-time and displays a vivid color which designates the core body temperature of the user.
Additionally, the Microtemp technology provides ATI with an oral and axillary product, expanding their product line for consumer-based solutions. Microtemp’s oral thermometer has a ± 0.1° C accuracy point.
“Our focus at ATI, even more so now with Microtemp onboard, is on innovative technologies and product expansion with liquid crystal technology that fulfill our customers’ vision,” said Randall Lane, chief strategy officer of ATI. “This process provides the ability to print customized graphics and apply liquid crystal all in one-pass and we are excited to be the solutions provider to bring this to the industry.”
Microtemp Labs will relocate from Naples, FL, to Tampa, FL.
