Roland DG Corporation announced the promotion of Gregory Bilsen to the role of President, Roland DG EMEA. Based in Belgium, Bilsen assumes the role with immediate effect, whilst continuing to act as president and CEO of Roland DG Central Europe.
Reporting to Eli Keersmaekers, president of Global Sales and Marketing and executive officer at Roland DG HQ, Bilsen’s appointment reflects the company’s continued growth, and its focus on meeting the requirements of its customer base throughout EMEA. Roland DG is the de facto leader across a range of diverse markets, with its extensive and evolving product range incorporating wide-format inkjet printers, vinyl cutters, engravers, 3D digital fabrication devices, dental mills and impact printers and more.
In his expanded role, Bilsen has been charged with driving further growth within EMEA, consolidating Roland DG’s strong leadership position and boosting sales across Roland DG’s product lines. A Belgian national, Bilsen has worked within Roland DG since 2011, having previously held the roles of COO and president of Roland DG Belgium. Prior to this, he held a number of positions at Siemens, including CFO of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Belux.
Bilsen has led Roland DG’s Central European business unit for nearly five years, and has transformed the business by driving forward sales within new vertical markets – such as retail and industrial – whilst boosting growth, service and support at a local level. Following Bilsen’s appointment, Johan Struyfs, Roland DG Central Europe’s head of Sales, Marketing and Service, has been promoted to operations director, Roland DG Central Europe. In his new role, Struyfs will support Bilsen by assuming responsibility for operations within the region with immediate effect.
“He has proven leadership skills and will ensure that Roland DG EMEA continues to focus and capitalize on existing and potential market opportunities throughout the region. Based in Europe, Gregory will be instrumental in the growth of Roland DG’s customer base across EMEA,” Keersmaekers said.
“For many years now Roland DG has sought to employ and promote the very best talent from around the globe. This has resulted in increased efficiencies across the board and a more agile business which is able to react quickly to the needs of the more than 200 diverse countries in which we operate. Gregory’s appointment will ensure we consolidate the growth and success within EMEA and ultimately strengthen Roland DG’s global position.”
