Scodix, the leading provider of digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, sold and installed a digital enhancement press in Mexico City.
Grupo Romo, one of the largest and most recognized entrepreneurs has received numerous national and international awards. With a new Scodix Ultra Pro with Foil, the company aims to further competitively distance itself via advanced digital enhancement capabilities.
“At Grupo Romo, we have a long history of differentiating ourselves by providing a personalized and comprehensive service, where we incorporate state-of-the-art technology, and complementary valued services, combined with superior innovation,” said CEO David Cárdenas. “The addition of the Scodix Digital Enhancement system will allow us to transcend traditional product lines and services, far beyond commercial printing.”
The new press, acquired through Grupo SG (the local Scodix marketing partner), establishes a “great opportunity” for the company, which is constantly seeking discriminating services to supplement its offerings. These offerings currently include a photography forum with cutting edge technology for product image, a highly-trained team of editorial and industrial designers, and consistent investment in pre-media equipment, as well as a distribution network with own vehicles and commercial lines to guarantee deliveries on time.
The Scodix Foil Station, which is an optional module that Grupo Romo chose to include in its configuration, operates in line with the Scodix Ultra Pro, providing unparalleled enhancement foil capabilities. It uses a wide range of hot and cold foil films of industrial standard, combined with a variety of substrates and processes, including offset, digital, plastic, Foil/non-Foil, and uncoated options.
