The Red Cross and Unidos por Puerto Rico will each receive a $50,000 donation to assist with relief and rebuilding efforts. The company is also making a $250,000 donation to the BASF employee assistance fund. The fund provides financial support to BASF employees in Puerto Rico who have been impacted by the storm.
Employees and their families are also receiving food, water, personal care products, generators and other needed supplies from BASF.
“We stand together with the people of Puerto Rico whose lives have been devastated by the effects of Hurricane Maria,” said Ricardo Morales, site director at the BASF facility in Manatí, Puerto Rico. “Providing needed resources to our employees as they endure a long recovery process remains a high priority.”
BASF operates three facilities in Puerto Rico and employs more than 200 people.
