Thirty-two people representing 16 countries took part in the INX International Ink Co. bi-annual International Partners and Distributors meeting.
"There were many items to cover on the agenda and it all went very smoothly,” INX President and CEO Rick Clendenning said of the Sept. 13-14 event. “Since our last group meeting two years ago, we’ve experienced significant growth on a global level. Our expansion program in the U.S. and other parts of the world has been very successful. I believe we are well positioned to continue on this path into 2018."
There were multiple presentations and a group dinner at the meeting, which was held at INX’s Research & Development facility in suburban west Chicago.
Jonathan Ellaby, VP of International Operations, welcomed all of the participants when the meeting began on the afternoon of Sept. 13. Included in the group was a member of Brazil’s Creative Inks that INX purchased in Dec. 2016. Four presentations were offered, ranging from solvent and water-based inks to updates on the offset division and three-piece metal decorating.
The digital side of the business opened and closed the session on Sept. 14. INX managers delivered reports on digital inks and printers, and discussed EHS issues, two-piece metal decorating and color changing advancements.
“Our representatives traveled many miles from different parts of the world to attend," said Ellaby. "Our presenters did a great job providing updates for their segments and answering questions. And the people responsible for bringing everything together did another fantastic job with all the arrangements. It takes a team effort to pull off an event such as this, and everyone pulled their weight to make it a success.”
