Barcelona-based Conver Autoadhesivos SA has recently taken delivery of a Domino N610i ink jet label press, marking its first step into the world of digital printing.
The company, founded in 1964, specializes in the printing of self-adhesive labels for industrial and commercial distribution, with a global customer base operating across a wide variety of sectors. These include chemical, industrial, automotive, household products, personal care, food & beverage, as well as the transport & logistics sectors.
Using a selection of different printing technologies, the business delivers a comprehensive range of labeling solutions to its customers, from simple product labeling applications to cardboard, thermal, electro-magnetic and RFID security labels, through to linerless rolls and shrink sleeves.
“In response to increased customer demand for shorter print runs and reduced lead times, it became apparent that it was no longer economical to continue running these jobs on flexo presses and we realized that it was time for us to start our digital adventure,” David Brugalla, managing director at Conver, said. “We intend to use the N610i label press to reduce our delivery times for short and medium run jobs, whilst maintaining our print quality policy at competitive costs.”
