Flint Group Narrow Web will host an Alexander Watson Associates (AWA) sponsored seminar at its Center for Technical Excellence in Rogers, MN, USA in May.
The workshop, titled “Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies,” is an interactive and comprehensive guide to the technologies and processes involved with shrink sleeve labels; workshop activities are presented by Flint Group Narrow Web and key industry suppliers. This technical seminar will be presented with simultaneous Spanish translation to accommodate both English and Spanish speaking attendees.
Due to demand this two-day program, set for May 23-24, is back for the fifth consecutive year. Workshops are complete with presentations and hands-on activities hosted by Flint Group and Accraply.
During day one of the seminar, attendees will be introduced to ink theories, prepress technologies designed for shrink printing, and a live press demonstration. During day two of the seminar, Accraply provides equipment demonstrations from slitting, to seaming, to application of sleeves, and shrinking in steam tunnels.
“AWA events typically rotate locations year to year,” said Corey Reardon, president and CEO of Alexander Watson & Associates. “However, the popularity of this seminar and the superb partnership with Flint Group Narrow Web and Accraply has worked so well, that we return to Minnesota for a fifth consecutive annual event. With the significant support and participation of leading international companies in this growing technology arena, we have been able to create a very special opportunity for anyone who needs to gain a sound education in heat shrink sleeves.”
“Attendees will see first-hand the flexographic printing of shrink sleeve labels using LED cure technology,” added Kelly Kolliopoulos, global marketing director for Flint Group Narrow Web. “We consider LED cure to be a step-change innovation, enabling accelerated growth of shrink sleeves.”
This seminar is supported by leading industry partners – Accraply, Creative Edge Software, Klockner Pentaplast, CSW Inc., and Flint Group Narrow Web, with special thanks to Phenix Label for bringing shrink sleeve printing to life in support of this workshop.
