Mark Andy offers solutions for every converter, regardless of run size. Mark Andy is committed to its customers as a total solutions partner, with end-to-end solutions through the production workflow. From its robust pre-press offering, to world-class press technology, Mark Andy Print Products’ pressroom equipment and consumables, Rotoflex finishing solutions, and a service team to support it all, Mark Andy can meet any converter need.
Mark Andy offers ProWORX digital front end software, developed to fully support both digital and flexo workflows. Mark Andy demonstrated this on floor at Labelexpo, by printing the same label on all three printing technologies being displayed, with the result being a consistent quality look and feel label.
At Labelexpo, Mark Andy introduced Digital One, a new entry-level digital printing and converting label press perfect for the shortest of runs. As an all-in-one press, it offers 4-color CMYK digital process printing on a pay-as-you-go model, with a servo-driven flexo station and inline finishing capabilities for die cutting, stripping, and slitting. Digital One features a web width of 13 inches with printing speeds of 63 fpm and the ability to run various substrates including pressure-sensitive paper and film, unsupported paper and tag stock.
For production-level short runs, Mark Andy offers the Digital Series hybrid production system, a customizable printing press built on the Performance Series platform. It offers CMYK plus white UV inkjet printing with any number of inline flexo and converting stations. The Digital Series offers a high level of print quality with run speeds up to 240 fpm.
Converters that want to add digital printing capability to their existing flexo machines can take advantage of the Digital Plus program. Mark Andy and Colordyne Technologies have formed a partnership to retrofit 2200 and 4150 legacy presses incorporating Colordyne’s 3600 Series 4-color water-based inkjet platform.
The latest Mark Andy Performance Series is focused on providing solutions for the narrow web converter looking to enter the growing flexible packaging market. The Performance Series at Labelexpo highlighted low migration inks cured with the latest generation Mark Andy ProLED solution, then laminated in-line with Mark Andy’s solvent-free lamination delivery system, all at speeds of up to 1000fpm. This proprietary lamination solution results produces food-grade laminated structures directly off press.
