Effective June 29, 2016, Go Miyazaki has been appointed as the new managing director of FUJIFILM Europe. He will take over all functions and responsibilities in the European organization, including the roles of managing director of FUJIFILM Europe GmbH and FUJIFILM Europe B.V.. Miyazaki will be based in Düsseldorf, with responsibility for all businesses such as Imaging, Optical Devices, Medical Systems, Graphic Systems, Recording Media and Industrial Products across the EMEA region. Takaaki Kurose, will support Miyazaki in his new position as deputy managing director of FUJIFILM Europe.
Miyazaki graduated from the School of Commerce at Waseda University, Tokyo, and joined Fujifilm in 1981. He obtained various positions in international marketing and in several business domains, such as Recording Media, Electronic Imaging, Photo Imaging and others. He had numerous international assignments, several of them also in Europe, working at Fujifilm UK in London, and at Fuji Magnetics in Kleve, Germany.
In 2013, Miyazaki became president and CEO of FUJIFILM North America Corporation, and his responsibility extended to North and South America in the following year. After his return to the corporate head offices in Tokyo, he was appointed in 2015 as GM of Photo Imaging Products Division and, in addition to other functions in the corporate support and corporate planning divisions, he became Board Member of FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation. His current responsibilities as corporate VP of FUJIFILM Corporation are Business Domain Photo Imaging and the regions of North/ South America, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
