Graphic designers find it nearly impossible to incorporate variable data in a foil area to be overprinted with CMYK inks, because a separate white ink mask must be created manually for each data variation. With Color-Logic software, however, white ink masks are created automatically as the file is processed.
The proprietary Color-Logic process permits designers to incorporate variable elements throughout a design-from simple personalized text to more complex variables such as sequential numbering and variable images.
“Graphic designers and advertising agencies typically shy away from using variable data when printing on foil substrates because creating white ink masks can be tedious and may require lots of time,” said Mark Geeves, Color-Logic director of sales and marketing. “But a simple plugin in the $199 Color-Logic Design Suite does the job automatically.”
The Color-Logic system is compatible with offset, inkjet, flexography, digital presses, screenprinting, and gravure processes. It is ideal for packaging, pouches, direct mail, point-of-purchase material, signage, post cards, literature, booklets, labels, shrink sleeves, calendars and more.
