During Labelexpo Americas 2014, Sun Chemical will demonstrate how its electronic materials solutions can help make packages and objects communicate, engage consumers, manage inventory systems and provide brand authentication solutions.
“Brand owners and converters are increasingly inquiring about printed electronics on packaging,” said Roy Bjorlin, global commercial director, Electronic Materials, Sun Chemical. “We have had some serious discussion around solutions that can help meet their individual needs to enhance the consumers’ experience through innovative packaging solutions. We’re going to demonstrate how our customers can benefit from our practical solutions for electronic packaging during Labelexpo.”
T+Sun, a partnership between Sun Chemical and T+Ink, will be offering new packaging technologies at the Smart Mart booth 2015. Smart Mart is a new feature at the show, which displays label technology of the future. T+Sun will also be present at Sun Chemical booth 5413 and will demonstrate Touchcode. Sun Chemical representatives will also be available to discuss a full range of innovative packaging solutions
Touchcode is an imbedded code that when touched to a smart device, activates a range of options, including security and web interaction.
“Touchcode is a great first step to engaging an interaction with consumers,” Bjorlin said. “We’re offering more than just conductive inks; we’re able to give brand owners a chance to interact with consumers in a way that has never been done before.”
Bjorlin will be a featured panelist at Labelexpo on Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 4-5 p.m. at Conference Room 1 or 2 in the Stephen Donald E Stephens Convention Center. The presentation titled, “Smart products to encourage consumer interaction and spending,” will be about how brand owners can bring intelligence to everyday objects with printed electronics.
