A new technical brochure that explores the benefits and performance properties of NEROX 505 and 605 Carbon Black pigments for industrial coatings is now available for download from Orion Engineered Carbons.
NEROX 505 and NEROX 605 pigments are suitable for both solvent and waterborne coatings systems, and offer numerous advantages including stable dispersion, high jetness and high bluish undertone. The four-page color brochure uses charts to highlight coloristic properties in acrylic and alkyd-melamine systems, relative tinting performance, and jetness in water-based dispersions. NEROX 605 shows superior jetness and bluish undertones to NEROX 505 and a competitive product.
The Special Furnace Blacks are produced using an after-treatment process that leads to better wetting and dispersion properties and lower oil and binder adsorption. This in turn can mean better stability, higher gloss and lower viscosity in water- and solvent-borne coatings.
