Exopack’s Tulsa, OK manufacturing facility was recently honored by Hormel Foods Corporation (Hormel) with a 2012 Spirit of Excellence Award, recognizing the plant for the role they have played in helping Hormel meet their continuous improvement targets during the past year.
According to a statement from Hormel, the Spirit of Excellence Award “recognizes suppliers that truly go above and beyond.” Qualified suppliers for the award must maintain a supplier rating score with Hormel of 92 or above for a 12-month period.
Hormel developed their rating system in 1990 to ensure all of their suppliers are being held to the same standards. Gradable metrics for this award include meeting performance requirements, making on-time deliveries and providing high-level customer service.
In a letter from Jeffrey Ettinger, chairman, president and CEO of Hormel, Exopack Tulsa was praised for its “commitment to quality, service, innovation and customer satisfaction”.
