Steve Gomez has been appointed director of operations for Fluid Ink Technology. Mr. Gomez comes from a packaging background and has been in the industry for more than 15 years; he has developed and implemented a Lean Manufacturing approach tailored to each individual printers’ needs and weaknesses.
This approach will now be use as an added value for Fluid Ink’s clients. By Lean Manufacturing and eliminating waste, this will allow Fluid Ink to continue growing and pass the added savings to its clients, all while increasing quality, turnaround and delivery, and, more importantly, service.
Mr. Gomez has a bachelor’s degree in graphic communications from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and an executive MBA from the University of UT. He is also a Black Belt Six Sigma, and brings this methodology to Fluid Ink’s manufacturing plants in NJ and CA.
Mr. Gomez will also be a crucial asset as Fluid Ink develops its approach to the Latin America market, since he is trilingual in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
