The Print Suppliers Group, a consortium of independent ink companies throughout North America, has appointed Chris Cox as executive director.
According to Dennis Curtin, president of the Print Suppliers Group, “The position of executive director was created to assist in performing the day-to-day management of the group, including member recruitment, national marketing, contract negotiation and administration.
“Previously, we had self-managed the group, rotating responsibilities between members. This form of management served the group well when we were starting out," said Mr. Curtin. "Now that we have grown to a $60 million organization, the group decided to bring in a high caliber ink industry professional and advance the group to the next level.”
“Chris was an obvious choice due to his 25 years of experience in the ink industry and outstanding reputation," Marlon Tusche, vice president of the group, added. "Many of us within the group have known Chris for several years, and we are confident he is the right choice to carry out our vision.”
Mr. Cox has spent the last 11 years with the Sun Chemical organization in sales management, regional management and national account management. He began his ink career at Handschy Ink in Chicago as a lab technician before going into lab management and eventually technical sales for Superior Ink.
With a commitment to growth based on technology and value, PSG offers the printing industry inks, coatings and total print support for the sheetfed, heatset and cold web markets as well as supplies and systems for the digital market.
