On Aug. 10, 2006, Buhler took over IdraPrince, Holland, MI. With this move, Buhler is taking an important step in the expansion of its die casting division.
Through its consistent alignment with the market and through its innovative products, Buhler has built up a leading position worldwide in the die casting industry, which is currently characterized by consolidation moves. At Buhler, this project is therefore a logical step in the implementation of the group’s strategy; the takeover of IdraPrince will therefore strengthen the group’s position in the U.S. and worldwide. The aim of the takeover is to amalgamate Buhler’s die casting division in Minneapolis with Idra-Prince, who realizes a turnover of $37 million with a staff of 115, and to create a new company under the name of BuhlerPrince Inc.
